The National Celtic Folk Festival is finally back, and is ready to celebrate with a blast of a party for all folk.
Set amongst the grapevines with a view across the bay, Portarlington on the stunning Bellarine Peninsula will fire up again right across the June long weekend with the best Folk and Celtic live acts from across Australia.
There is much to celebrate this year – a top national line up, opportunity to bring a community and the arts back together!
This year’s festival program will run across a range of venues, the foreshore will become a festive winter party with spaces to gather for catch up and a drink. Whether you come for the whole weekend or just an afternoon, the festival market is an attraction. Warm up with a hot chocolate or mulled wine, delight your tastebuds with food from gourmet food trucks and soak up the vibes and friendly Celtic spirit.
Joining the party this year are the Australian and New Zealand heavy Games champions who will complete for the inaugural National title – both male and female heavy athletes, some of the largest athletes in the world competing in traditional highland games heavy events including the heavy stone throw, the sheaf toss and the crowd favorited the caber toss.
The foreshore will be home to Celtic Martial Arts competitions, Pipers, Dancers, Buskers and even some Highland Cattle –there will be so much see, hear, eat, drink and do.
One of the fantastic things about the National Celtic Folk Festival is that it is loved and enjoyed by all ages – a great place to catch up with families and friends. After two years in hiatus, we are super excited to be back!
