360Q at the harbour is becoming the borough’s entertainment venue offering first class performers matched with enticing meals to celebrate US Independence Day 4 July and Bastille Day 14 July.
Barry Iddles, owner of 360Q, must be one of the most optimistic people in town as he continues his menu of events like Christmas in July, A Night at the Opera, Sunday Roasts and International dining.
Due to Covid restrictions some July events are now on hold but Bastille Day with Kelly Auty performing Edith Piaf’s songs was a treat beginning with French champagne or Kir royale on arrival, coquilles St Jacques (tasty tiny scallops), chicken coq au vin, tarte au citron (lemon tart).
Kelly’s repertoire included songs from Ella Fitzgerald, Josephine Baker, the Mamas and the Papas but the best was her performance of ‘Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien’ (no regrets) – Edith Piaf’s signature song.
Barry’s August events should tempt you to put on your glad rags, escape the cold weather and enjoy a Gin High Tea, Cocktail High Tea, Champagne High Tea, a Vodka High Tea and a Hello Spring High Tea all with savoury and sweet treats , some with the option of alcohol free drinks. Hopefully Covid restrictions will be eased by then and we can venture out again but check the 360Q website first!
