The Brewhouse – so more than just a pub

‘As I was going to St Ives, I met a man with seven wives. Every wife had seven sacks, every sack had seven cats, every cat had seven kittens. Kittens, cats, sacks, wives, how many were going to St Ives?’

And what’s this conundrum got to do with The Brewhouse? Nothing really except that seven has proven to be a lucky number for the Brewhouse who have seven partners in the business. And that means their combined energy, creativity and risk taking has come to fruition and we lucky locals and visitors reap the benefits.

Brewhouse managers Andrew and Janine were joined by all the partners at the opening of the Tastes of the Region opening on Friday 29 September. Their vision was to promote and support growers of local produce in all its forms and wines of the Bellarine stocking the Tasting Room with 100% local produce. The ground floor of the Tasting Room houses a café offering breakfast and lunch and local produce while the black wrought iron staircase takes you up to shelves filled with wines of all varieties.

The Brewhouse is fast becoming the place for meeting up with friends for a meal or just popping in to have one of the many craft beers on offer for pre-dinner drink or two or three. Happy Hour is Monday to Friday, 4-5pm. Whether you are looking for amazing craft beers, whisky, cigars, live music and great meals, the Queenscliff Brewhouse has it all.

The number going to St Ives is ‘one’ (the narrator). And I for one will be going to the Brewhouse.
